FirstMove vs Eventbrite

Eventbrite measures your event by how many people paid. FirstMove measures it by how many of them met someone. Only one of those brings the room back next month.

The short version

Eventbrite stops at the checkout. FirstMove owns the hours that decide whether anyone comes back.

Event ticketing and registration

What Eventbrite is built for

Selling tickets and taking registrations at scale: checkout, refunds, ticket types and sales reporting. Its job is complete the moment someone has paid.

  • Checkout, refunds and ticket types
  • A discovery listing for buyers
  • Sales and registration reporting
  • Ends at the door
The Presence Layer

What FirstMove is built for

The hours nobody else is competing for. A geofenced VibeZone switches on inside your venue and turns a paid-up crowd into a room that actually connects, with consent built into the protocol rather than bolted on afterwards.

  • A VibeZone that activates on site and nowhere else
  • The 3-Way Handshake: Knock, Challenge, Connect
  • Ephemeral profiles that reset when the event ends
  • Starts at the door

Switching

Add the layer Eventbrite was never going to build

Adding FirstMove costs you nothing you already have. No data import, no audience export, no change to how people buy. Keep your current ticketing and run FirstMove alongside it, or bring ticketing across to us, since FirstMove Partners ships ticketing, event management and white-label event pages too. Either way, the VibeZone is the reason your room changes. And if you run free nights, residencies or community events where nobody buys a ticket at all, FirstMove works on its own.

FirstMove and Eventbrite: common questions

Tap a question to expand.

Can FirstMove replace Eventbrite?

It can. FirstMove Partners ships ticketing, event management, payouts and white-label event pages, with free events carrying no ticketing fee and paid ticketing from 2.5% + £0.30. But swapping one checkout for another is not the reason to come to us. Eventbrite closes the transaction and stops. FirstMove owns everything that happens after the door, which is the part that decides whether the room fills again.

Do I have to move my ticketing to use FirstMove?

Adding FirstMove costs you nothing you already have. No data import, no audience export, no change to how people buy. Keep your current ticketing and run FirstMove alongside it, or bring ticketing across to us, since FirstMove Partners ships ticketing, event management and white-label event pages too. Either way, the VibeZone is the reason your room changes.

Can I use FirstMove for an event with no tickets?

Yes, at full capability. A VibeZone is tied to a place and a time window rather than a ticket, so free community nights, campus events, gym sessions, co-working days and open venues all work exactly the same way.
